Eligibility Criteria

MYRA looks for candidates who are well rounded with interest and abilities in a wide range of areas and activities and have fire in the belly and ready to go the extra mile. While academic performance is very important, it is not the only criterion used for admission/scholarship. Anchored by this broad framework.

We consider the below aspects for eligibility to apply for MYRA School of Business

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • We require a bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% and above, from a recognized institution. Your subject background, extra-curricular activities, awards, and recognitions are also considered.

    For SC, ST, OBC candidates the qualifying criteria is as per AICTE norms.

  • Entrance Exam
  • Applicants should have valid CAT, CMAT, XAT, NMAT®, GMAT®, GRE® or MET® (MYRA Entrance Test) scores. Entrance test score is an important evaluation criteria for selection.

    MET is an in house test conducted by MYRA for students without any other standardised test score. Students may opt to take MET to meet the eligibility.

  • Work Experience
  • We encourage students to have 0 to 2 years of experience. However, Work experience is not mandatory. We believe that students bring their professional experience to the class and contribute to the cohort interactions and are able to take away more. However, we also welcome exceptionally bright fresh graduates who possess drive and confidence.

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  • The statement of purpose essay forms an important basis for selection to our programmes. Your essay should showcase evidence of leadership, professional promise, your career goals, your personality, and reasons for pursing higher education. (Word Limit: 2000)

Selection Criteria

MYRA’s selection criteria centres around five different aspects:

  • Academic record: It’s important to maintain good academic records to gain the competitive advantage. MYRA takes into account candidates 10th, 12th and Graduation Scores.
  • Entrance Exam score: MYRA considers the following four different entrance exam scores – CAT, XAT, NMAT®, GMAT®, GRE® or MET® (MYRA Entrance Test).
  • Statement of Purpose (SOP): MYRA looks for understanding the person behind the application and hence SOP plays an important role. SOP offers candidates an opportunity to share their thinking and showcase their achievements in areas other than academics. It is also a way to weave one’s dreams and passion into a convincing narrative about one’s choice of activities whether music or fine arts or sports or others.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities and Achievements: If one has achieved special success as exemplified in awards or medals etc., including patents and such other intellectual property, due consideration is given.
  • Interview: MYRA conducts one to two rounds of interviews for the shortlisted candidates to understand and analyse their academic knowledge, communication and interpersonal skills. Mode of Interview is based on candidate’s convenience either Personal or Telephonic/Skype.
