Gautam Khanna brings over 28 years of global leadership experience spanning IT services, digital transformation, and social impact. He currently serves as the
President and Chief Executive Officer of Maker Bhavan Foundation (MBF), where he leads the foundation’s mission to modernize engineering education in India. Under
his leadership, MBF focuses on fostering a culture of innovation and hands-on learning to empower the next generation of Indian engineers.
Gautam has also contributed to the advancement of Digital Public Goods (DPGs). He led delivery and partnerships at the Center for Open Societal Systems (COSS),
focusing on the global adoption of the Sunbird platform. Additionally, as a strategic advisor to the eGov Foundation, he helped design the business plan for the
international expansion of their urban governance suite, DIGIT.
Prior to his transition to the social impact sector, Gautam held several senior executive roles within the global technology services industry. He served as the
Senior Vice President and Strategy and Growth Head for Wipro Digital and Cloud (WDC), where he was responsible for shaping the service line’s global strategy,
managing sales operations, and overseeing mergers and acquisitions. His extensive corporate background also includes a significant tenure at Infosys, where he was
Vice President and Global Head of the Application Modernization practice. In this role, he led initiatives in Cloud, Open Source, and Agile/DevOps, while spearheading
large-scale talent development programs across the company’s cloud ecosystem.
Gautam has served on the Governing Board of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and on partner advisory forums for Red Hat and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
He is also a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI). He holds a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and an
MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow.
